Spring Break!!

Apparently it's Spring Break, even though it doesn't feel like Spring.... It's been fun, full of sleepovers hither an thither. Last night Quincy, Eleanor, and Jaxen all spent the night! Sooo fun! We made homemade lasanga and watched movies all night, then today, despite the chilly wind we ventured to the park. I love these kids so much! I'm so glad Amber has such close cousins to always be her best friends!

Viva Las Vegas!!

Me and a buch of my girly friends ran away for the weekend to Vegas and had such a BLAST!! It wa nice to get away and sleep a lot. I missed my baby girl a lot, I din't think she missed me though.... We walked a little of the Strip and visited the Coke store and did the Tastes From Around The World... samples of 16 different sodas from around the world.... pretty interesting flavors, and one extremely nasty one. Mandi and I Had done it before so it was funny to see the other girls reactons to the bad ones. We also went to Fremont Street and rode the zip line from 6 stories up, 5 blocks down the road. It was a fun view of everything!

I'll be your new Adventure Guide!

So I interviewed and Maverik and was hired on the spot! Made me SO happy!! It was getting a terribly frustrating turning in tons of applications and resumes and no one being interested in me. I felt like no one wanted me and they werent even giving me a chance! So being hired on the spot was very uplifting for my spirit! I've worked two days and so far it's been pretty good! Lots to take in, but nothing I can't handle!

Whats new!?

So... since it's been over YEAR since I posted, I guess I'll update.

Amber: Amber started first grade in August and, after struggling to get into it, absolutely LOVES it! She is doing so well. She loved to read, and is one of the top spellers in her class! She's never scored below a 90% on any of her tests. She makes me SO proud!!

She also dances on Wednesdays and is getting very good at it! She gets to go with her BFF Kamryn so that makes it so much better!

She is the light of my life, and makes me so proud every day.

Me: Well... the good news or the bad news? The good news?! I'm in love! Without even looking, or expecting it, I have found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and he even wants to spend his life with us!! He makes me happier than I have ever been.

The bad news? For the second time in 6 months I am jobless. I don't do well not working, I like to work so being at home all day is a struggle. I'm hopeful though!

I turned 27 last week... And although I pictured my life a lot differently than it is at this point, I couldn't be happier. I am grateful for the family and friends I have, and the love that I have surrounding me. And the tortoise I got for my birthday.

Overall, even through the ups and downs, I would have to say it's been the best year of my life.

Pizza Night
